So, let’s take a stand against all the bullies out there like Limbaugh who wish to keep women held in invisible chains. No longer will we give the word ‘slut’ power over us or allow it to demean or belittle us.

Is it just me, or does it feel like within the past couple of months a massive attack on women is being staged from all sides?  It’s like no matter where you look, there’s someone who is just dying to force you into having a transvaginal ultrasound.  Apparently they are just all the rage these days.

The subject of gay marriage has been a hot topic ever since California first permitted gay and lesbian couples to have the same right to marriage as heterosexual ones. Everyone has an opinion on the subject from “to each his/her own” to total outrage at the mere mention of homosexual unions.

But what are some of the deal breakers that you may be noticing and either ignoring or afraid to confront? Just because you are in a relationship with someone doesn’t mean things are set in stone (just ask Kim Kardashian).

Along with the scarcity of available jobs is the uncertainty of earning a decent wage. For many people my age, it has been difficult to support ourselves. The thought of adding a partner, kids, a house and everything that comes along with that isn’t practical, and sometimes can be a downright frightening prospect.

How wonderful is it to have a shoulder to cry on or pal to gossip with who is also a great shopping buddy, stylist, interior decorator, is always down for going to the Madonna concert and – isn’t trying to log time with you just so you will hook up with him. But what if your boyfriend has such a friend?

Are we to believe that the majority of the people in this country are more concerned with whether or not everyone believes in God than in the deplorable state of our union? Do people really believe that allowing two Gay people to marry is putting our country at risk, and if so, what risk?

Now is a good time to think about what you want out of a new relationship. Be completely honest about this. Decide what you want a new person to bring to the relationship table and what you are willing to bring.

Overall, consumers are expected to spend $17.6 billion on Valentine’s Day gifts — second only to Christmas. While consumers will spend most of their Valentine’s Day budget on their lover — they’ll also be buying for kids, parents, other family members and their pets.
