...Would You Forgive and Forget?

I wasn’t going to do another Tiger blog, but this interview was just too good to pass up.

I was reading some gossip about him online this morning, and I loved this quote from a “source” close to Tiger and Elin: “She wears a chastity belt made of spikes. They are not living together as a couple. They are putting on a charade for their children.”

‘Chastity belt of spikes’? Ouch! Keep that in mind as you watch the video. Cuddling up to Elin right now may be worse than spooning a porcupine. Poor Tiger. He looks like someone took away his favorite toy or something. Oh, wait...I guess she did take away his favorite toys!

As the video progresses, what I really love is when he is talking about all of the people he hurt and he is so sorry he hurt all these people and blah, blah,blah.  He even states that he hopes that people don’t boo him and that he will get a few claps at the tournament. A few claps? For what? Why is he even there? So not focused on what’s really important.

The only person he should be focusing on is Elin. To me, his interview seems so directly targeted towards his sponsors and those involved with him in a business sense. There are rumors that Elin is furious with Tiger and feels like she is being used for his career comeback and girlfriend ain’t having it! Apparently, they are still not even staying together in the same HOUSE.

The source claims that Elin wants to be far away from Augusta and the Masters tournament and not get involved in the media frenzy. She also sends a signal that her reasoning for staying with the philandering golfer is purely for the children. She feels as if she is living a lie. Which is funny, considering Tiger states towards the end of the video that he had been living a “life of a lie.” He also added, “you start coming to the truth of who you really are, and that can be very ugly.”

His cure for this ugliness? More outpatient-sex-addiction-therapy (when will he find the time for that once he starts practicing for the Masters?) and getting back into meditation and Buddhism, like his parents had taught him. Newsflash, his dad also cheated on his mother up until the time of his death, so perhaps Tiger may want to rethink any advice his dad had given him on the subject of love. And, isn’t Buddhism all about the spiritual realm and not about the material plane? He has some work to do!

If Elin is smart, and I have a feeling she is, she will wait this out and then quietly divorce him after golf season is over. From what I have read, she doesn’t want to leave him for the sake of the children. But, the source also said she is not happy in the marriage and just is staying put to keep the children grounded. Her parents were divorced and she doesn’t want to impose that on her children. The trust in their marriage, however, is gone.

Who knows what will happen, but Tiger can always cuddle up to Nike. They seem to be his only lover now!
