The Women in Power Who Vote Against Health Care for Women

Recently, as many of you have heard, there is a war being waged on women’s health rights in this country. Plenty of states are restricting a women’s right to choose and attempting to or successfully eliminating Planned Parenthoods all across the nation.

Government funding for Planned Parenthoods are being cut through false information about federal funding for abortion, cancer screenings, STD tests, preventative services and birth control. All of these services are now on the chopping block because of many malicious lies being spread.

Most assume that men are the ones behind these radical and outrageous laws, but there are (unfortunately) plenty of women in the Congress and the Senate willing to hurt their fellow sisters, and in turn, hurt us all.

Who are these women, you ask?

Well, look no further. Here is a complete list of the women who want to hold back other women and deny us equal rights as men and as human beings. Why not email these ladies and remind them that the reason they are in office today is because greater women before them stood against the grain and stood up for the rights of women, instead of trying to tear them down.

After all, united we stand, but divided....we all fall.

Senate:

Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-NH)
Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson (R-TX)

House:

Rep. Sandy Adams (R-FL)
Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN)
Rep. Diane Black (R-TN)
Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN)
Rep. Ann Marie Buerkle (R-NY)
Rep. Renee Ellmers (R-NC)
Rep. Jo Ann Emerson (R-MO)
Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC)
Rep. Kay Granger (R-TX)
Rep. Vicky Hartzler (R-MO)
Rep. Nan Hayworth (R-NY)
Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler (R-WA)
Rep. Lynn Jenkins (R-KS)
Rep. Cynthia Lummis (R-WY)
Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA)
Rep. Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV)
Rep. Sue Myrick (R-NC)
Rep. Kristi Noem (R-SD)
Rep. Martha Roby (R-AL)
Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL)
Rep. Jean Schmidt (R-OH)

These women all voted to defund Planned Parenthood.

How does voting against of public funding of something = voting to deny equal rights?

    Good question.
Think about it like this - in 1950s Mississippi, blacks needed the federal government enforcing laws to maintain any sense of citizenship and basic rights. They couldn’t do it on their own, they lacked the power and resources to stand up for themselves. Later, with integration policies, particularly in schools, again the federal govt had to step in to protect and maintain equal rights.

When a poor person appears in court on charges, a state paid public defender is there to represent them if they cannot afford a lawyer on their own. They need help to maintain equal rights in society.

A government can’t establish a theory of equal rights without providing the means for those rights to be maintained. These are women who need basic services for their reproductive health. They don’t have the choice to just ignore their ovaries and uterus.

Let’s face it, women’s reproductive health is also about the future of humans. Its as simple as that.

The woman being interviewed nailed it, in my opinion, and that is that “We’re seeing a very corporatist climate here”.

This isn’t really about conservatism vs. liberalism, nor is this about religion vs. statism, this is about rich vs. poor. Period. End of story.

The best thing we can do, is write our own Senator, and tell him or her that you support Planned Parenthood and that we need this program in our society today.
