And now NOM (National Organization for Marriage) is none to pleaseth.
So, I watch a lot of these videos and have posted a few that really jumped out as special. But how could I NOT post a video from God, himself? Okay, it really isn’t God (that would be pretty awesome, though) but it is a really funny video by David Javerbaum, a comedy writer and former executive producer of The Daily Show with John Stewart who recently wrote, The Last Testament: A Memoir by GOD.
Well, now NOM is really upset over this video, as they are trying to pass law after law preventing some of God’s people to marry. And God is noneth too pleased. Watch the video and have a good laugh on this Monday morning. Whatever your affiliation, I know we can all agree on one thing: That Ryan Reynolds would make even God turn gay!
Enjoy!

We forget that there really was a time once, when the gods were gay. Apollo had many male lovers. So did Zeus: the Olympian father stole Ganymede, the most beautiful boy on earth to be his own hand-servant.
We also forget that when the gods were gay, society was a whole lot less homophobic in general. In fact, homosexuality was considered normal and healthy in the ancient Classical world of Greece and Rome. So much so in fact, that the Roman Emperor Claudius was considered eccentric because he had a bizarre taste for only female lovers.
Lastly, we forget that when the gods were gay, and society didn’t treat homosexuality as a mental disorder or “sin”, that the idea of democracy and equality under the law came to birth and fruition. Granted, ancient Athenian democracy had a long way to go (it forbade citizenship from women, children and slaves), it did give us the very idea in the first place.
