Do Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore Have an Open Marriage?

And it just keeps getting juicier and juicier!

Brittney Jones, the girl who claimed to have slept with Ashton Kutcher behind Moore’s back, is now stating that he “shared an open relationship” with Demi and that their hookup was “normal and OK.”

Oh, it gets better. Then, Jones claims that Kutcher confessed that he and Moore enjoy “threesomes often”. Jones even inferred that Moore is really upset with Kutcher not because he cheated, but because she wasn’t invited.

Says Brittney:

“He said they share women, but he isn’t supposed to go off and sleep with women on his own. He said Demi had to be there and that Demi likes to pick the girls out. He explained that he and Demi had a deal where they had to share lovers. He felt bad that he had been with me and didn’t share.”

Why do I oddly believe this story? Perhaps because it is salacious and exciting to think about. Who doesn’t like to read about what’s going on behind closed doors? It would explain why they haven’t come out and discussed the matter. Everyone has been talking about it. Maybe it is easier if they just keep quiet than try to defend it or deny it.

Then again, why is it that we need to defend an open marriage? This should be considered just as valid of a relationship as any other. There is nothing wrong with wanting to spice up your life together and enjoy some sexcapades. As long as everyone is on the same page and can keep their ego and jealousy under control, it would be an exciting and sexy way to live. But, then again, how many of us could truly handle sharing our partner?

Monogamy is difficult, but when you are in a relationship with the right person, it can be very rewarding and intimate. Relationships do ebb and flow, however, so maybe this is a phase that they must experience with one another. Everything is a learning experience. This could show them how much they mean to one another, or it could begin to tear them apart. If Ashton continues to sneak behind Moore’s back and sleep with women without her knowledge, it may not be the sex that destroys them, but the betrayal. With any healthy marriage (open or not) you have to make honesty the number one priority.

The way Ms. Jones describes the rules of this supposed agreement in the marriage does make it seem plausible. I think that an open marriage could exist and be functional if the wife was picking the women and the rule was to always have sex with another person as a dual unit so to speak.

I agree the real issue here may be a sense of betrayal on Demi’s part. It’s interesting that Ashton broke what most guys would consider a heavenly deal. Maybe it was his way of trying to gain independence from her strong persona and more successful career. Demi carries so much more star power than Ashton.
