2Date4Love: A Dating Site For People Where Sex Isn’t on the Menu

Posted by Natalie on Wed, 17.08.11 at 12:12PM in In the News Love Self Awareness Sexuality/Health

A new twist on internet dating...

A while back, I wrote an article for Betty Confidential about the concept of asexuality and how people within this community are often ostracized from the mainstream population.

Most people question why someone wouldn’t want to have sex. And, since certain people don’t want to have sex, is there ever a chance for them to have a long-lasting, romantic love and an emotionally intimate relationship?

Don’t sex and intimacy go hand in hand?

Bullied Gay Teens Sue Minnesota School Over “Neutrality” Policy

Taking “PC” to a new level of insanity...

I don’t know about you, but I am sick and tired of schools not standing up to teens that are being threatened, bullied or harassed. School is a place where you should feel safe, a place where you can secure a higher education and understanding of the world around you. You should not be panicked to attend class for fear of someone calling you a “homo”, “fag”, “slut”, “dyke” or “loser”.

Words hurt. No matter what anyone says, it hurts to hear negative things being said about you and it hurts even worse when those in authority, who are there to protect you, do nothing and stand idly aside all in the name of being “politically correct.”

This disturbs me, as I’m sure it disturbs many of you out there, whether or not you have children.

Sean Hannity Doesn’t Want You Having Sex (But He’ll Pay for Your Viagra!)

Posted by Natalie on Wed, 10.08.11 at 12:45PM in In the News Sexuality/Health

Facts aren’t nearly as fun as Sean screaming at you...

We knew it was coming. There was no way Fox News was going to sit by and quietly watch women (for the first time in our history) gain some ground in the march towards gender equality by passing the historic bill that will make insurance companies cover birth control and not say a word. Wasn’t going to happen.

Grieving Widow Addicted to Eating Husband’s Ashes

A woman gripped by grief...

I have been hearing about this particular episode on TLC’s, My Strange Addiction, for a few days now and was not going to blog about it because it seemed wrong to exploit a woman who is truly saddened and lost after the sudden death of her husband. But, the more I thought about it, I wondered, maybe there is something we can all identify with in this tragic tale of loss.

Cuddle Away the Gay?

This therapy doesn’t seem homoerotic at all...

So, now we know who is really to blame for homosexuality.

Dads.

Well, more specifically, dads that weren’t very affectionate and loving. Proponents of cuddle conversion (real name) think that the reason men are gay is because of a lack of healthy same-sex affection that they missed out on as a child. Therefore, as adults, they eroticize all male touch.

A Historic Moment for Women’s Health!

It’s about damn time...

Yesterday, the Obama administration released rules yesterday stating that U.S. health insurance companies MUST offer women free birth control and other preventative health care services and no co-pays will be required.

Forgive me reader, for I have sinned.

I, who detest reality television, I, who shake my fist at the mediocrity of wannabe-celebrities and their self-perpetuated narcissism; have watched an episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”

Or as it is known in an increasing number of circles, “Keeping Up with Searing Excrement on the Ridges of Hell.”

A new book digs up some interesting info...

British author, Graeme Donald, was researching for his book, Mussolini’s Barber, a collection of the most bizarre stories in military history, when he came across a story of Hitler and Heinrich Himmler.

Michele Bachmann Compares Homosexuality to Bondage

Posted by Natalie on Thu, 14.07.11 at 04:26PM in In the News LGBTQ news Self Awareness Sexuality/Health

There are no words. Bachmann is a plague of hate. Why does she care so much about the gay and lesbian community? She is so filled with homophobia and bigotry. I don’t understand why she is so scared? It’s not like you can “catch” homosexuality. She makes it sound like a disease that needs to be wiped out...which (naturally) is worrisome.

Thoughts?

The Women in Power Who Vote Against Health Care for Women

Posted by Natalie on Wed, 13.07.11 at 10:55AM in In the News Self Awareness Sexuality/Health

Recently, as many of you have heard, there is a war being waged on women’s health rights in this country. Plenty of states are restricting a women’s right to choose and attempting to or successfully eliminating Planned Parenthoods all across the nation.

Government funding for Planned Parenthoods are being cut through false information about federal funding for abortion, cancer screenings, STD tests, preventative services and birth control. All of these services are now on the chopping block because of many malicious lies being spread.

Most assume that men are the ones behind these radical and outrageous laws, but there are (unfortunately) plenty of women in the Congress and the Senate willing to hurt their fellow sisters, and in turn, hurt us all.

Who are these women, you ask?
